The PARSA Center for Creative Ability has been built in Marastoon, Afghanistan with contributions from HALO.  This program is a vocational program for working children of disabled parents and street children.  The program helps them learn how to make money while they stay in school or for after they leave the orphanage.  Currently, everyone is trying to learn English and computer skills, but there is no work for them in this.  About 4 million children fall into this category.

With the building completed, more funding ($8,000) is still needed for furnishings.  The completion consists of stoves, a refrigerator and kitchen equipment for cooking classes plus tables, chairs, books, carpets and heating.  As you know,  the war is escalating which means more widows and orphans!
